During his visit to Southern regions President of Azerbaijan Republic Mr. Ilham Aliyev visited Olympic Sports Complex at Jalilabad

During his visit to Jalilabad region on 7 September, the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev visited the territory of the Olympic Sports Complex which is under construction. As known, the construction of the mentioned facility with the total area of 5,5 hectares, commenced in 2008 within the framework of the State Programme on Socio-Economic Development of Regions, is performed by Inteks company, which is a part of MEGA Holding.
Ruslan Mammadov, the head of MEGA Holding, gave detailed information to the President on the progress of the construction works. He informed that an indoor gym, a swimming pool, football pitches, a four-storey hotel and cottages will be put in commission within the scheduled time. All conditions will be provided in the complex for conduction of not only local but also international events, even Olympic Games.
Getting acquainted with the construction project Mr. Ilham Aliyev talked about the perspectives of sport in Azerbaijan and underlined the significance of establishment of such conditions that will meet the highest international standards.
For this purpose, he instructed that the construction works shall be performed in strict compliance with the quality standards and the complex shall be put in commission timely.
